As discussed in the TED talk, 'Jane’ refers to The Jane Approach – which articulates a way of moving in the world, primarily informed by the work of three Janes: Jane Goodall, Jane Jacobs and Jane Bennett. A list of other Jane's is growing.

This is an adaptation of the nursery rhyme, The House that Jack Built, but also of several other architecturally oriented books:
E. C. Gardner. The House That Jill Built, after Jack's Had Proved a Failure (1895)
&
the delightful pop-up book: Phyllis Root, The House That Jill Built (2005)

that inverts the pickets
that skirts the pink
that tickles the clock
that tick-tocks the name

This house is a person in her own right
that lived with the girl drawn beneath masonite
that loved the doll found buried on site
that came ‘round the mountain that rose to great height
that rescales the wintergarden bathed in daylight
that extends the garden of indoor delight
that grounds the fence with the ball of light
that inverts the pickets
that skirts the pink
that tickles the clock
that tick-tocks the name
