onomatopoeia is a design practice interested in residential architecture, experiential creative work, and the intertwinement of theory and practice.

Directed by Pia Ednie-Brown, an Associate Professor in the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University, onomatopoeia is dedicated to experimenting with new ways of approaching the art of living. An important part of onomatopoeia’s research mission is to explore new ways of approaching the ethical challenges of our time, such as rethinking ‘sustainability’ through ‘transformability’.
